The professional Certificate Programmes are carefully designed to help students gain deeper practical skills to further support their performance in their assignments. The certificate programmes are focused on helping to address observed skill gaps for practitioners at that level. The programmes are divided into parts, each part contains a specific set of courses some compulsory and some optional.

  • Advanced Professional Diploma Programmes

    Advanced Diploma Programmes takes six months to complete and is assessed through lectures, written assignments, observation visits and an examination. Students will cover 6 compulsory courses and an elective course. Those apply for the Advanced Diploma Programmes are expected to have completed the relevant Diploma Programme or other qualifications acceptable to the admission committee.

  • Professional Post Graduate Diploma Programmes

    Post Graduate Diploma is for students who already have a degree from a recognized university or Higher National Diploma from a recognized Polytechnic. A Post Graduate Diploma Programme takes 12 months to complete. To graduate students would be required to submit an independent study project in a selected area. A programme is basically divided into 3 major parts.

    The Professional Diploma Programmes are for candidates without a university Degree or a Higher National Diploma from a Polytechnic. A Diploma Programme takes six months to complete. Students will cover 5 compulsory courses and 2 elective courses. In addition, written assignments per course will be required of a student and an examination to qualify for a diploma certificate. It would usually include an observation visit and detailed report.

  • Basic Certificates programmes

    These programmes are based on study modules. Each module has clearly defined aims and objectives, contents, methods of teaching and learning and processes of assessment. The Basic Certificate Programmes has a 3 months duration.

  • Award of Diplomas and Certificates

    Students who successfully complete any of these programms will receive a University of Abuja Certificate.
